Dental Bridges

A dental bridge is a type of dental restoration that is used to replace missing teeth. It consists of an artificial tooth suspended in the gap left by the missing tooth, supported by two anchor crowns that are cemented to the natural teeth on either side of the gap. Dental bridges are typically permanently fixed in place, and they feel and function like your own teeth.

The procedure for attaching a dental bridge involves preparing the supporting teeth for retention, taking a digital scan of the teeth involved to create a custom-fit bridge, and cementing the completed bridge onto the natural teeth. Dental bridges help to restore oral function and prevent problems such as misalignment, difficulty eating speaking and gum disease that can result from missing teeth. They also help to reinforce the surrounding teeth. If you are missing several teeth, a dental bridge may be the best option for you. Our dentists can help you determine if a dental bridge is the right choice for you and discuss the different types of bridges available.
